Job Description

Medium sized 40+ Employees Commercial General Contractor hiring Skilled Masons for remodel and new construction for mainly retail and restaurant construction sites. Candidate should have a minimum of two years of general masonry skills, have a valid drivers license, and be able to pass a drug screen. Starting wages based upon experience. Minimum starting wages are $14.00 per hour for a minimally qualified candidate. Compensation is matched to experience up to $18 per hour. Year round work. Must be able to travel short distances to job sites. Employer helps with fuel for further distances and provides hotel lodging. All work within three hour radius of Indianapolis, IN. Benefits include Weekly Pay, Paid Vacations, Daily Per Diem for any out of town work, Affordable Group Health Insurance Plan. Positions are available for immediate start.

Job Description/Duties -Employee performs skilled masonry work, building, altering and repairing brick and stone.

Duties of the Job:

  • Repairs, maintains and alters buildings, retaining walls and other brick or stone edifices.

  • Mixes mortar; lays bricks and stones and/or concrete sidewalks; makes and repairs steps.

  • Mixing mud and concrete

  • Must have basic hand tools

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience


  • This position requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Working conditions are typical of that found on active construction sites. Exposure to weather extremes, noise, dust, mud and equipment exhaust can be expected on a regular basis. Must be able to lift 60 lbs repetitively and 80 lbs intermittently throughout the work shift. Work is performed at ground level and on elevated surfaces. Working at height of up to 20' is common and some heights are more than 20'. Must be able to pass drug screen. Must have a valid driver's license and transportation.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
